Just so y’all know… I have not been just slacking off on working on these amazing wedding photography shootout pictures we took last week. I got to try out some new stuff, and I am liking the results. The partners in crime were tommie huffman, rachel russo, nick gillett, andre’a, and myself. We got 3 awesome lady models to sport some dresses and one studly man to join in on the fun. And then we kicked it. Here are 3 pictures… much more to come.

This past weekend, we had a great time photographing LJ and Melissa’s wedding. They are so much fun to be around and to watch! It took place at the Cactus Hotel (which i know i say everytime… Is our favorite place to shoot! It’s so beautiful and has amazing light!) Anyway, here is a small sneak preview.
This first picture is of Melissa coming inside right after taking some pictures. You can totally see “her” in this photo. She is laughing and having a great time with her friends… and that is what she is all about!
The second one is of the groomsmen. They are a great group of guys that loved to goof off and just enjoy life.
More to come soon!!!

Colin and I have had a lot of time of reflection lately. We have been discussing what our photography is now, what we offer, and where/what we want our business to be in the future. Because of this, we have completely redone our session fees and wedding packages. Yes, the prices are a bit higher, but with them we are offering so much more than we ever did before – we’re stepping it up a notch. We are even excited about a few extra surprises for our brides and grooms… These new packages and pricing will begin January 1st, 2010.
We wanted to give you time to book at our current price list. We will still be accepting our current prices until the end of the year but not after. So, if you are interested in booking us for wedding photography, engagement photos, bridal portraits, family pictures, a senior session, or anything else you need – contact us soon.

Kelly and Joshua’s wedding was amazing. Kelly is from St. Louis, MO and since I (Andre’a) lived there for a couple years, it was fun to talk to some of the family. This couple has an amazing story of how God brought them together. They’re hearts are so pure and sweet and I loved getting to know them. They both were interns at Johnson Street Church of Christ for a summer, which made their wedding full of youth and excitement. They got married at the Cactus Hotel – which is near and dear to our hearts. Not only were we married there, but it is beautiful and has amazing lighting. Well, lets get on with the photographs! Here’s a slideshow and some photos to follow.
A couple of shots of the bride and groom dancing at the reception.

Immediately after the ceremony we took the wedding party for some group shots. What a great idea and we got some fantastic shots…

“I now pronounce you Mr. and Mrs Josh Baker!!!!”

These groomsmen need to seriously loosen up a bit, they look at bit uptight… NOT!

Before the wedding, Kelly and Josh took some pictures together. But the tricky part was, Josh couldn’t look at Kelly. So we had to get a bit creative and Josh was blindfolded for some of the time – But the photos turned out really great!

What an amazing wedding we had this past weekend. Kelly and Josh were such a joy to work with. We could have not asked for a better day set up for photography. Lots more to come…. soon.

Last weekend we had the amazing privilege to take pictures at Stephanie and Jared’s wedding. Stephanie is going to vet school right now and Jared is a chef… I thought it sounded like a weird combination, but they are absolutely perfect for each other and a beautiful couple. My sister is a great friend of Stephanie’s and was a bridesmaid, which made the wedding that much more special.
Since the bride and a couple of the bridesmaids are in vet school, all the girls in the bridal party rode in on a horse drawn carriage. It was a stunning entrance! The wedding was short and sweet and very HOT since it was outside… but we finished as fast as we could to get inside to the air conditioned reception!
We’ve put together a slideshow as well as some of our favorites photographs of the evening at the bottom – so don’t miss them!
The sweet flower girl petting one of the horses that pulled the carriage.

The lovely couple

These next two are some of my favorites. I added some texture to them to enhance to the images.

My photographer friend Tommie Huffman, let me borrow her fisheye lense… so i had to experiment and try some cool stuff. I think they turned out great!

More fisheye goodness…

So, we flew into San Angelo on Wednesday evening the 23rd and got straight to work. That Saturday, the 27th, was our first wedding to photograph. We were actually second shooting for Rachel Russo. This was a beautiful couple and we enjoyed being a part of their big day. We started off taking some pictures of the bridal party getting ready before the wedding. Then following the wedding, we headed to a gorgeous home for the reception. Enough talk for now… lets share some photos. The first three have some textures added to them.
I love the backlight in this photograph… And it’s such a sweet moment between Apolynne and Blake.

A bridesmaid helping put the bride’s shoe on.

This is one of the flower girls. She was so adorable and I caught her munching on some snacks before the wedding… I don’t blame her!

The grooms father having the boutonniere pinned on by his daughter.

A moment of celebration after the ceremony.

First dance

Now, I cant remember if it was the groom’s brother or the bride’s brother… But, for their first dance, he wrote them a song and sang it for them. That’s him in the background singing – and he had a wonderful voice!
