Here is the last bit of alex and daniels wedding…. the reception.
Let’s start with a crazy story. About three weeks before this wedding, Texas was getting unusual amounts of rain. One of the storms that blew threw the Austin area ended up striking the Barr Mansion’s ballroom with lightning. From what the pictures showed before the bad weather, it was a glass walled room. It looked absolutely gorgeous in the photos on their website. Daniel and Alex simply raved about the place and the ballroom during one of our meetings together. So, this lightning strike ruined the ballroom just a small 3 weeks before their wedding… Let me just say, if it was my wedding and this had happened, I think I would have totally flipped! I mean, it’s not like you can change the place of your wedding 3 weeks before actual date! Alex told us that the Barr Mansion was being very understandable and cooperative through the whole thing. They gave them a few options and one of which was using a tent that they brought in. I think everyone was a bit skeptical about the tent, but it was definitely the best option for a wedding that was right around the corner. When we showed up, I was amazing at how nice the tent looked. You can tell they did things right. The Barr Mansion not only had a beautiful tent, but put in a nice floor and it was decorated gorgeous. Everyone seemed thrilled with their work and the choice to stay. I wrote all this to give a big shout out to the Barr Mansion for handling things so well under a great deal of stress… and to remind myself that some people have way more problems to deal with than I do. To Daniel and Alex – You handled all your stressful wedding planning far better than either one of us could… and it turned out spectacular!!!
Now lets get on to the pictures of the reception in the tent! This first one is a silhouette of the happy couple right before their grand entrance.
One other detail that I loved about this wedding, was the ribbon Alex wore around her dress during the reception. It looked so good without overpowering the dress… amazing. And then it was tied in a one loop bow… how cool is that.

Now we have a mixture of the wedding festivities. There are some above and below… but there is the first dance, cake cutting, and toasts

And let the party begin! The dance was so entertaining to watch! You can tell this was truly a time of celebration. People were laughing, smiling, jumping, acting goofy… AKA, having a great time! That’s what weddings are all about! Then, once the evening was over, they left to an aisle of sparklers and hopped in an old vintage Bently! The whole evening was fabulous!

It’s an end to another wonderful wedding, but made some great friends out of it! We definitely hope to be seeing these guys again! We wish you guys the best!!!
