Firstly, my bro-in-law, Nick Gillett, is graduating High School. You might remember him from such posts as “nick sr part 2″ and “my bro nick”. He is also an aspiring photographer. His blog is at nicholas gillett photography.
A note from Andre’a….
Nick,
It’s weird to think my baby brother is finished high school. It is such a huge accomplishment and we are both so proud of you! It seems like just yesterday that you were chasing me around the house trying to beat me up because i pushed your buttons a little too much. Now, you are an awesome Christian gentleman who has so many dreams and goals ahead of him. Never forget who you are in Christ and always keep Him first in all you do. Love you tons. Wish I could be there.
Ahhhhh, what a cute picture!

Next we have my other brother-in-law, Ken Gillett. He is getting married on memorial day. You might remember him from tommie huffmans post. He is an aspiring childrens pastor and currently works at paulann baptist church.
A note from Andre’a
Ken,
Hope your wedding day is superb! Wish we could be there to see the big day! Even though you will be old and married… always remember to keep in touch with all your family! Love you

picture by: Nicholas Gillett. He did a fantastic job on their engagement session.

Last weekend Andre’a and I took a little trip up to the Hunter Valley. It is about 2 hrs north of Sydney and is just beautiful. We went wine tasting, scenery looking, and drove around. It was great. Here are a couple pictures of our trip.
When we were there we went to the Ken Duncan gallery (he was the director of photography for “the passion” movie and a very famous photographer). It was way awesome and very inspiring.
Here is my Ken Duncan inspired shot. I think it looks pretty good.

Look at my pretty wife.

We tried to visit this one winery but we were 15 min late so we stopped and took some pictures as the sun was setting.

Andre’a and I took another trip to the Blue Mountains. This time we ventured there alone. I really wanted to hike down Govets Leap to the bottom of the water fall. The hike was very long, and very hard, but so worth it at the end. We hiked straight down the side of the cliff! Here are some of the highlights.
That’s the waterfall that we hiked to the bottom of…

This was what the trail was like… yeah, that’s a long drop down!!

some hot girl that was following me.

andre’a at the bottom.

This was a cool shot where the water was dripping down off the cliff.

I know she will probably hate this, but hopefully this little mothers day poem will make her laugh, cry, and smile (and possibly mutter some choice words at me…)
Mothers, we come out of them.
But what comes out of us, is but a reflection of who they are…
They make us smile, when they smile.

They make us love, when they love all the little animals.

They make us food, when they cook for us.

They make us hardworking, when they work hard.

They make us feel, when they feel.

They make us who we are today, when they showed us who they were yesterday.

This was cool. It was from hillsong.

Happy Mothers day Mom.
I have never been to a boat race before. This was one of the bridge to bridge boat races. I think it is 120km long… from one bridge to another bridge (hence the name… bridge to bridge). we saw a couple of heats go by and I took some pictures while holding the shutter open longer than normal (1/15th sec.) to get a cool effect on the pictures. I thinks some of them came out really well.

This was the little Gilliagan’s Island putt putt boat the we took over to one of the islands where we had second breakfasts.

We also spent some time on this little beach hanging out and playing with the crabs.

Kiama is this little place south of Sydney where they are known for this awesome hole in the ground that shoots up ocean water when the waves come in. It really is quite impressive.

This is blow hole where the ocean shoots up from the ground at kiama.

This is Jade.

Little Jade and Lois North.

John and his eldest boy, David.

Lois acting ‘cool’.

Owen, their youngest boy.

We ate some really awesome fish and chips after we saw the blow hole. and this was the picture immediately behind us of the begging birds. I just thought it looked really funny.

That is most of the North children. Caroline could not go with us on this trip because she had a birthday party to attend.

Sorry for the long delay in posting this blog. I have been having some issues with my wordpress(blog software). I updated it and it is supposed to have all these cool features and some of them dont work with my server…. what are you going to do…. so i had to resolve them, bla, bla bla…
A couple of weekends ago we took a trip to St. Albans to visit this really old pub. I think it was one of the oldest in the Sydney area, possibly even all of Australia. It was a beautiful trip. Here are some of the highlights.

We stopped at this really old graveyard… it was really neat.

I think this was the best picture from the trip and my loving wife Andre’a took it.

moo cow

This is just a funny picture of one of the North kids and her friends.
