have a go, ya’ mug

Well, it looks like we are going to head up north for a couple weeks. We were inspired by this lovely saying we learned last night at Hillsong Church. The title of the message was “have a go, ya’ mug” Apparently it is very well known in the Oz, but to us 3 american, it was like jiberish. Let me translate: this means that even though we don’t have everything figured out just yet, take a shot at it anydangways and give it all ya got. We’ll talk about it more in the next film starring Andre’a and Colin Feldhaus on location at Hillsong Church in Sydney, AU…

Jeff (our good friend from college that told us about this work exchange program, he is the other bloke that is in some of the pics) left early early this morning to catch a flight. We decided to leave a day later. We are taking a flight up to Townsville and then a ferry to Magnetic Island…..sounds…..magnifying?!?!?! Apparently it’s really close to the reef, so we can get some sight seeing out of the way before we start working. We decided since we probably would have a hard time finding a job for 3 weeks or so, we might-as-well get some touristy things done. So off to the beaches and the reef we go! And the place we’re staying has Koala’s that we can hold and take a picture with!! So better keep up with the blog.

Hillsong was incredible!! The worship was fanastic! I can’t wait to go back again in a few weeks! And, we got tickets!!! Hillsong is recording a new live CD March 9th and we’ll be there. So all of you should buy a new Hillsong CD when they come out and listen for the 2 hicks from Texas. I’m sure you’ll be able to hear us!….not……it will be recorded in a arena! And we sung some of the new songs last night! You won’t regret it…they’re great! Anyway, we did get some video’s and pics from Hillsong, we we’ll post them soon and then you’s (australian for y’all) can all be jealous! not really

Note: Subways don’t serve chips with the meals…..just apples or yogurt….weird.
That’s it for now

We’ll be at the beach tomorrow!!! YIPEE we just need to pray that the weather gets nice! It’s supposed to be really rainy…

February 10, 2008 - 9:11 pm tommie - i can't wait to see the new footage! Glad ya'll are taking the leap of faith and just do'in it. I know you guys won't regret it! Have fun and be careful and take lots of pics for us!!

February 12, 2008 - 2:31 pm DAD - Magnetic Island is REALLY northeast coast. Sounds marvelous, wish I was there. Love, DAD

February 17, 2008 - 1:44 pm esther - Hey, "yous" just caught up to all the goings on there. Looks like your having fun! Love ya!

March 2, 2008 - 12:20 am Mandy - Hey 'y'all'! Glad to see you all are using the proper Aussie lingo - 'You's'! Enjoyed your videos and pretty nervous about you mucking around with the Death Adder. Yes they are deadly along with most of the world's deadliest creatures all right at home here in Oz. Just think, you are on a remote island and probably 20 mins from the nearest hospital by helicopter.....mmm so let's look at that equation 20 mins of venom in your system + 20 mins to antivenom on mainland = not good guys...Oh and Andre'a that beautiful large white fower in the Botanical Gardens is actually called Deadly Nightshade, just don't eat it...If in doubt don't pat our spiders either....See you back in Syd.
